Magical challenges call for magical solutions. Whether it’s unique orders or specific questions that come up during the holiday season, our advisors have tailored solutions ready for you. The bpost experts are here to offer advice on your shipments, e-commerce strategy, and market approach.
Even during the holiday peak, your parcels will reach your customers’ letterboxes on time. Do we need a magic wand or a Christmas miracle to achieve this? Not at all; as we approach the warmest yet busiest time of the year, bpost is going the extra mile.
Responding proactively to seasonal peaks – it’s something you likely do as well. Based on past volumes and a forecast for parcel volumes in 2024, we’re increasing our sorting capacity by a full 60% over the holiday season. We’re investing in additional staffing, extended working hours, efficiency, and optimization.
1. On time, on target, and efficiently
We’re increasing our sorting capacity by allocating more time for processing your parcels. In addition, our transport schedules have been adjusted to accommodate the holiday rush. This way, all shipments arrive on time, on target, and with maximum efficiency.
2. Smooth deliveries at our sorting centres
By adding extra waiting areas in the sorting centres and freeing up additional loading bays at night, we’re able to avoid truck queues. We start sorting earlier and open up extra storage space to handle the high parcel volume smoothly. Check out these 4 extra tips for seamless shipping during peak times.
3. All hands on deck
This year, once again, our 11,000 postal workers won’t be managing the holiday rush alone. Alongside temporary additional staff, over 400 head office employees will be helping to ensure smooth parcel delivery. The whole team is ready to make the holiday season magical and worry-free, both for you and your customers.
4. Our collection services keep coming to you
During the holiday period, bpost will adjust its operating hours:
- On 1/11 (All Saints’ Day), 11/11 (Armistice Day), 25/12 (Christmas Day), and 1/1 (New Year’s Day), bpost will be closed.
- On 26/12, Post Offices will be closed, but parcels, newspapers, and letters will still be delivered. Post Points, Parcel Points, and Parcel Lockers will remain open. Sorting centres and MassPost Centres will be active, and the Collect & Send, Collect & Stamp, and Transport services will collect shipments from your location as scheduled.
Together, we’ll make the holiday season magical. Whatever happens, bpost has got you covered.
