Why was I not notified of my incoming registered mail?

Incoming registered mail is scanned to check that the name on the envelope is the same as the name in your account. You will receive notification of incoming registered mail in the following situations:

  • If you have a My bpost app account
  • If you have a MyPreferences account
  • If you have been to a Post Office or Post Point to request delivery of registered mail straight to your letterbox

We won’t be able to send a notification if the name on the envelope is not exactly the same as the name in your account. To avoid this, add all possible versions of your name in your account (for example Alexandre Jansen, Alex Jansen, and A. Jansen).

You may also want to check that you haven’t turned off registered mail notifications. It’s easy to turn these notifications back on in the My bpost app.
