Can I follow my letter with Track & Trace?

Currently you cannot follow your letters and cards online with Track & Trace. That is because thy don't have a unique reference number or barcode. You cannot follow priority and non-priority mail sent to destinations inside or outside Belgium. If your mail does have a barcode, for example a parcel or registered Mail, then you can follow it online with Track & Trace.
You can easily ask someone else to pick up your parcel. The process depends on the type of Parcel Locker your parcel has been delivered to.
, In a Parcel Locker with screen
, If you have received a parcel in a Parcel Locker with a screen, you will receive an e-mail containing: the barcode of your parcel a QR code a code of 6 digits and/or numbers (just below the QR code). With one of these three elements, someone else can pick up your parcel from a Parcel Locker. You can simply forward the e-mail you have received to the person who would like to pick up your parcel for you.
, In a Screenless Parcel Locker
, If your parcel has been delivered to a Screenless Parcel Locker, you need to send the barcode of your parcel to the person who would like to collect your parcel for you (you will find the barcode in the e-mail announcing that your parcel is available). The person who is picking up your parcel on your behalf should then enter the barcode of your parcel in their My bpost app. (You can add a shipment via the home screen). In turn, you will receive a tracking request for that parcel in the app. You can easily accept this request. If you do not, the request will be automatically declined after 24 hours. Once accepted, the designated person can track and collect your parcel for you. The process for the person to pick up your parcel is as follows: Go to the Parcel Locker and enable Bluetooth and location on your smartphone Open the My bpost app and select the parcel you would like to receive Follow the steps in the app to connect to the Parcel Locker Take out the parcel and close the door.
How do I create a mailing label? How long does it remain valid? Where do I have to attach it?

If the original sender does not offer any return options, then you must return your parcel and purchase a shipping label on our website, in the eShop or in a Post Office, Post Point or Parcel Point. The shipping label is valid for 3 months, but you should ask the original sender how much time you have to send your parcel back. You attach the shipping label firmly on your parcel with tape. It must not come loose. Make sure that the entire shipping label is legible. The barcode must be visible immediately. If you reuse the original packaging, then you must attach the shipping label on top of the original shipping label. The original barcode must be covered. If you reuse the original packaging, then you must attach the shipping label on top of the original shipping label. The original barcode must be covered.
How can I follow my parcel that comes from abroad?

You can follow your parcel outside Belgium with Track & Trace. bpost relies on its international partners for the Track & Trace information. They are not always able to communicate this information (on time) so you might not be able to follow your parcel immediately. Once your parcel arrives in Belgium at bpost, you can follow it with our Track & Trace and the My bpost app.

, You can also follow your parcel with the Track & Trace of the foreign postal service handling your parcel. Use the barcode number that you received from the sender and enter it in the Track & Trace of the foreign postal service.
, Please note:
, If your barcode starts with the letter ‘U’, you cannot track your shipment. This barcode is only used to facilitate the import procedure and present the shipment to Belgian customs. After the shipment is released, it will be handed over to bpost without further tracking.
When can I follow my parcel with Track & Trace?

As soon as bpost has received your shipment, you can track its progress via the My bpost app or Track & Trace using the barcode. You will often receive an email from the sender when your barcode is created. In most cases, you will not be able to track your parcel immediately via our Track & Trace . This is because it is still being prepared by the sender and therefore has not yet been handed over to bpost. As soon as the sender hands your parcel over to bpost, you will be able to track it.
You can use stamps instead of a shipping label if your shipment does not exceed the following dimensions and weight: Width: 230 mm Length: 350 mm Height: 30 mm Weight: 2 kg Please note: if you send a parcel with stamps, then there is no barcode and you cannot follow it with Track & Trace. A shipping label has a barcode and can be followed with Track & Trace.
Sometimes we only receive the barcode from the sender at a later moment in time. As a result, you cannot follow your parcel. In that case, try again later. Double check that you entered the correct barcode and postcode. Be sure to select the correct postal service from the list. If you don't know the name of the postal service, select 'I don't know'. If you know the name of the postal service but it's not in our list, send us a message via the app. We will add it to the current list.
You can follow all your parcels with the My bpost app. Also those from other postal services. bpost parcels linked to your email addresses in the My bpost app are added automatically. It is easy to add other parcels in the app: Click on ‘add a shipment’ on the app start screen Enter the parcel's barcode number or scan the barcode with the app. Select the postal service from the list. If your postal service is not in the list, send us a message via the app. We will add it to the current list. Enter the postcode of the delivery address.
I didn't receive a QR code. What do I do now?

For Parcel Lockers with a screen, just enter the barcode on the screen. For Screenless Parcel Lockers, first enter the barcode in the My bpost app and then follow the steps in the app to collect your parcel. If you have opted for direct delivery to a Parcel Locker and if you did not receive an e-mail that your parcel is available, please check that our e-mail did not end up in your spam folder. If you have received an e-mail that your parcel is available, please read the steps in the e-mail carefully. For some Parcel Lockers, you do not need a QR code. If you did not receive an e-mail that your parcel is available, please contact a Parcel Locker responsible on 02 320 23 90.
The postman didn't ring the doorbell. What can I do?

We are sorry that your postman did not ring the doorbell to deliver your shipment. Please note that the postman is not required to ring the bell if your parcel fits in the letterbox. (Tip: Via the My bpost app and Track & Trace you can immediately see if your parcel has been delivered.) Check regularly that your bell is still working properly. If the postman didn’t ring the doorbell for your parcel, you can report this using the online form at the bottom of this page. We will ask for the barcode of your parcel and your contact details so that we can discuss this with the correct postman.
